THE RULES:
 

WHO CAN PLAY

1 – Embassy, High Commissions, Corporate, Ex Students, Ex Pat, Colony Teams are invited to participate.

Teams are requested not to use any semi professional players. In case they want to then the number is restricted to maximum 2 (TWO) Semi Pro Player per Team and they will play in a different group.
 

By a semi pro player – we mean anybody who has played in any form of club team, state team or university team in the last 2 years (2008 & 2009). The said teams will play in a completely separate group.
 

Exemptions are for those who are representing their corporate/embassy teams in our tournament or are over 33 years of age or have to play the league because their organization participates as a team.

GROUPS
 

1 – The teams depending upon the number will be divided into different groups under 4 major headings (Corporate Teams, Over 35 Teams, EX pat/Embassy Teams & all other Teams fielding Semi Pro player.
 

REFEREE
 

1 - One Referee will officiate the game.
2 – All Referee decisions are final.
 

DURATION
 

1 - 20 minutes each half with 1 minute break for all the games.
 

TIMINGS
 

1 – Games will start at 6.30 PM and end at 11.00 PM on week nights & from 2.00 P.M on weekends.
 

NUMBER OF PLAYERS & SUBSITUTION
 

1 - 6 players including a goalkeeper will be allowed to play with 4 players as rolling substitutes

2 – Game will not be stopped for substitutions. The player to be substituted will come to the half line and change with the player coming in. Until the player going out is not out of the field – the player coming in cannot enter. CHANGES STRICTLY at HALF LINE otherwise the referee will call it a foul against the team which is substituting.

3 – No player can play for 2 teams.
 

CARDS
 

1 – 2 Yellow cards is suspension for 1 game.
2 – 1 Red card is suspension for 1 game
3 – Any team or player indulging in violence will be debarred from the tournament.
 

POINTS
 

1 - 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss.
2 – Incase of tie on points – the order will be as follows:
 

Goal difference, Goals scored for, Head to Head or a toss if everything is the same.
 

SIZE OF THE FIELD & GOALS
 

Field Hockey Goals will be used & the size of the field can be seen at the venue.
 

RESCHEDULES
 

No reschedules of the games will be permitted. If you cannot field a team then it will be a walkover with a 3 – 0 goal difference awarded against your team.
 

GOALKEEPER RULE
 

Goalkeeper can play as a player but can stop the ball with hands only inside his D Area.
 

OFFSIDE RULE
 

No offside will be there.
 

RESTART RULE
 

No throws will be allowed, in case the ball goes out of the playing arena, a kick in will be awarded.
 

SOCCER BALL
 

All teams are requested to carry their own soccer balls to play (2 per team).
 

Also all teams to have numbered JERSIES
 

LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST AS THIS A DIPLOMATIC TOURNAMENT TO PROMOTE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THE EX PATS POSTED TO INDIA AND INDIANS.
 

WE HOPE NO FIGHTS HAPPEN AND REMEMBER IT IS ONLY A FUN TOURNAMENT.
